Living on a west-facing coast of the UK, warmed by the Gulf Stream, it's quite rare for us to have snow. But now and again it happens and the landscape is transformed. These images, taken on my phone, capture the Hilbre islands during a walk out at low tide after an overnight snow fall. Being only one degree above freezing, the snow didn't last for long.
