Perhaps our 'leaders' will take seriously the reality and dangers of the climate and extinction emergencies and the worst case will not transpire. Personally I am not optimistic that this will happen. I fear more of the same.... 'leaders' concerned more with their own interests and those of big business than with the wellbeing of the people they supposedly represent. In which case we can expect to be ravaged by ever worse storms, floods and droughts, our soils continuing to be washed into the seas and our seas becoming sterile, toxic dustbins. All we will be able to do is to stand by and watch as the monster that has been created and unleashed brings death and destruction.
